What is VolleyDIGS? VolleyDIGS is a competitive league for 4th/5th, 6th and 7th/8th graders. Games are played on Sundays in January, February and March at Danville High School. NOTE: the 2024 and 2025 VolleyDIGS seasons were cancelled due to the lack of availability of gym floor space at Danville Community School Corporation facilities, and no notice has been posted for the 2026 season. Depending on the level of interest with the number of girls who want to compete in the VolleyDIGS league, there may be cuts. Total numbers will dictate whether age groups will be combined as they are in our Rec league (5th/6th and 7th/8th), but at a maximum, we will field no more than a single team per grade level. Cost to participate, if selected covers, the team entry fee and uniform for the games.
Power League is another step up in competition from the VolleyDIGS level, and CYL will conduct tryouts for a 7th/8th grade 14U Power League team. The Power League Team will play on Saturdays/Sundays at various venues across central Indiana, and will compete against club and school teams from across the state. The fees for Players selected will be determined based on the number of tournaments that can be scheduled, and the fee will also include a uniform.
olleyDIGS and Power League Tryouts
The composition of the VolleyDIGS and Power League teams will be subject to sufficient interest to field ideally sized teams, coach availability, and other factors. Participation in CYL Volleyball will be required for consideration for VolleyDIGS and Power League selection.
